Oh, it’s such a God thing — He opened the door!”
Yes… and sometimes the devil knows how to work a doorknob too.
Christians love to assign divine meaning to every job offer, romance, or sudden windfall. But if it’s from God, Revelation 3:7 reminds us:
“What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open.”
Translation: if you have to jimmy the lock, force the hinges, or keep saying “But it’s such a peace about it” while ignoring the red flags, it’s not God’s door — it’s a trapdoor.
We’re quick to praise God for open doors, but we act like closed doors are a personal insult. Sometimes God locks a door because you’re not ready for what’s on the other side. Or worse — what’s on the other side isn’t good for you.
Stop camping out in the hallway with your ear to the wood. If it’s God’s door, it will swing open without you needing a spiritual crowbar.
