The Revelation Begins
In The Messenger, we entered an imagined first-century room. A manuscript had arrived, people gathered, and Mara waited as the reader opened it.
Our storytelling ends there.
Now we read the words of Scripture.
Revelation 1:1–3
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR
The Revelation begins with God.
God gave the Revelation to Jesus Christ to show His servants what must come to pass.
Jesus sent and signified it through His angel to John.
John bore witness to the word of God, the testimony of Jesus Christ, and all that he saw.
A blessing is given to the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and to those who hear and keep what is written.
And John tells us:
“for the time is at hand.”
For now, we stop here.
