Title: God’s Favor Isn’t a Monthly Auto-Ship
(Christianese: The Blessing Plan)
Somewhere along the way, Christians started treating God’s favor like a subscription box.
Do your devotions? ✅
Say your prayers? ✅
Tithe on time? ✅
Congrats — your monthly blessing shipment is on its way! Just keep up the points system, and heaven will automatically refill your cart.
Except… that’s not how God works. He’s not Amazon Prime. His favor isn’t earned by streaks or loyalty rewards. Psalm 84:11 makes it clear:
“The Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”
Notice it doesn’t say, “…from those whose church attendance is perfect, who post a daily verse on Instagram, and who always feel ‘on fire’ for God.”
God’s favor is about relationship, not transaction. You can’t manipulate Him into delivering blessings faster by slapping a “rush shipping” prayer on your life.
And here’s the kicker: sometimes His favor is saying “no” to what you think you want — because He knows it’ll ship you straight into trouble.
So cancel your imaginary subscription plan. Walk with Him. Trust His timing. And remember: He’s not running a monthly promo code for obedience.
